some things i saw this week that i liked
This week is sponsored by TileBar's Italian Essence Collection. Explore the timeless artistry of Italian design imagined in terracotta, terrazzo, marble & more.
The Arden Lounge Chair by ZM Home. Bamboo & cane furniture really had a moment 5+ years ago. Anthropologie, Urban Outfitters & Safavieh pushed the MCM meets Refined Boho look hard. But I haven't seen all that much of that material lately, and I miss it. Couldn't resist featuring this piece; such an inviting shape, and seems like the kind of thing that could go almost anywhere.
The Overglow Collection by Lindsey Adelman. This gal is not exactly in need of more press. That said, she continues to produce adventurous yet accessible work that defies genre and has a distinct aesthetic. A true artist.
The Runa Pistachio rug by Kelly Wearstler for The Rug Company. I tend to prefer rugs with some order & pattern, I usually don't like entirely abstract rugs. This one is the perfect juxtaposition of pattern & freedom, and it's just such a winner palette-wise. Again, not someone who is remotely in need of more recognition, but by golly it is great. The 3D effect gets me.
Nature Whisper Wallpaper by Fabscarte. I'll admit I didn't just come across this this week. But I am obsessed. Like a loose fresco, I love the palette & scale. Want to do this in my living room.
Dancing Queen Candelabra by Sebastian Brajkovic via David Gill Gallery. How would you define this? Maybe a little Baroque? I dig the formality executed in an asymmetrical shape. It keeps your eye moving, and I'm sure it improves in candlelight.
